Carpet cleaning in Hammersmith

Hammersmith sits directly north of Fulham, a short drive up Fulham Palace Road. W6 is one of our three core postcodes, with SW6 and SW10, so the van is up here often.

W6 homes

The streets either side of Fulham Palace Road are Victorian terraces much like the ones in SW6, many of them split into flats, and the blocks down by the river are newer. The room prices are the same as anywhere we go: bedroom £36, living room £43, stairs £41 a flight. Terraces here often have the same long, thin hall as in SW6, priced at £22. In a converted upper flat the internal stairs are usually the dirtiest carpet in the place, and a busy one gets extra passes at no extra cost. An upper flat spread over two floors has its own internal flight at £41, and the landing where it turns is £9 on top.

Getting the van there

Hammersmith has the same council as Fulham, so visitor parking works the same way: a session booked on RingGo for the van if the job runs long. The difference is traffic. The Broadway gyratory and the Great West Road can hold the van up badly at the wrong time of day, so we give Hammersmith jobs an early slot where we can and keep clear of the evening rush.

Over the river is a different story. Hammersmith Bridge is open to people on foot and on bikes but shut to motor traffic, so for customers in Barnes the van goes the long way round.

While the machine is in

Once the machine is in, a sofa is often the next thing on the list. A three-seater is £83 and an armchair £33, and desk chairs for anyone who works from home are £11 each. Leave the sofa to dry while you are out and it is usually fine to sit on by the evening. A living room carpet, three-seater and armchair together come to £159.

Prices

The sofa side of things is explained on the upholstery page. Over the bridge, Barnes has its own notes. West Kensington lies just to the east, and all our figures are on the prices page.
